The Boat
I run a 17′ Maverick Mirage HPX-V powered by a 90hp Yamaha. It will comfortably accommodate two anglers and is the boat of choice for most flats guides. Since it’s introduction, the 17 HPX-V has been the measuring stick for every technical poling skiff. Deadly quiet, precise on the pole and with an open water running capability that never ceases to amaze, this skiff is the choice of guides who demand the most complete tool for the toughest and most technically challenging poling situations.
Equipment
I provide rods and reels from Sage, Echo, St. Croix, Temple Fork Outfitters, Tibor Reels, Shimano and Daiwa as well as all terminal tackle (flies, leaders, etc.). If you are planning on bringing your own gear please let me know as some gear choices may be inappropriate.
