I can’t believe I got a Grand Slam! And in a half day! Unbelievable! I was just happy with the two bonefish! I can’t thank you enough for the fishing experience of a lifetime and I can’t wait to fish with you again.

I have fished with guides all over the world and Pete ranks right up with the best. He has that rare ability to find fish even in the worst of conditions. It’s his attitude however, that sets him apart. If I blow a cast, he simply goes silent when most guides would be screaming. I remember him telling me a number of years ago that he didn’t need to tell me I made a mistake when I was fully aware of that fact myself. That always stuck with me. He is relaxed but intense at the same. He always seems to know when I need to have a laugh (especially tarpon fishing) to get me to calm down. He is my go-to guide in the Keys and can’t recommend him enough.

I am also still on a high from yesterdays action. Still seeing tailing redfish when I close my eyes. It was one of the best days of fishing I have ever had and Avery and I had a great time with you on Friday also. It isn’t all about how many fish you catch as long as you have fun doing it with great people. You are a great captain and hope to fish with you again the next time I’m in the Keys. I hope the rest of your fishing season goes great! Thanks again for an awesome day fishing.

Capt. Pete thanks for two great days on the water. My poor casting that first day wasted numerous shots at quality Snook and Redfish, but you were able to help keep things in perspective and keep me from going overboard. I still can’t stop thinking about that second day. We must have seen 100 Tarpon and that 130lber I managed to get a hook into gave me the thrill of a lifetime. I am hooked and will be back to chase Tarpon again. I promise I will work on my casting before then. Thanks again for a couple of unforgettable days on the water.
David S.Hey Pete! Just wanted to say THANKS for putting me and Kris on those fish Friday. Kris has a bruise from fighting those fish with the butt of the fishing rod against her stomach. She is wearing it with pride. We both enjoyed your style of guiding. I was expecting someone who would be intense and intolerant of our inexperience…someone more interested in making themselves look good, instead of our enjoyment. Shoot, I think you were having as much fun as we were, and I appreciate your casual, fun approach. I think you and I are similar in our views about fishing….fishing is an art….it is fun. The thrill is in the anticipation, the stalking, and the sighting of the fish. Seeing the fish take a bait is awesome. Catching the fish is merely the result of all the other things. I was amazed at the good hole you put us on….to catch fish (or get a bite) on every single cast for nearly 2 hours, until we were tired of catching fish….THAT was just what I needed for Kris to experience. She will definitely be fishing with me now on occasion (instead of shopping). I’ll be telling everyone I know to look you up when they head to the Keys. And we will definitely use your services on our next visit. Thanks again.

Pete, I just wanted to thank you for taking Adam and I fishing. Watching my son catch his first saltwater fish on fly was an experience I will never forget and one that Adam still hasn’t stopped talking about. You are great guide and a great teacher and hopefully next year we’ll be able to do it again.

Dana and I had a great three days with you despite the tough conditions. Like you said, all you can hope for is shots. I still can’t believe I lined that group of tailers. I won’t do that again. Fishing with was a great learning experience and your sense of humor and approach to fishing turned a frustrating situation into one that was enjoyable. Thanks again.

Just wanted to drop you a line and tell you how much I enjoyed fishing with you. I still can’t believe I caught snook on fly. That was on the bucket list for awhile. I know they weren’t big but sight casting to them was awesome! I still can’t believe I dropped that monster redfish. You kept telling me to put the wood to him but I couldn’t turn him! I had a great day and the next time I’m in the Keys you’ll be getting a call for sure.
